What is Counseling?

Counseling is a process where an individual, couple, or a group confront anything that disturbs their normal mode of life and stops them from having a balanced life. The counselor then assists and guides in order to empower them to take responsibility for their life. The empowered individual, couple, or the group then find solutions to their own problems by being aware. The active conversation and listening help in introspecting. Sometimes a person just needs someone to hear them out and rest all becomes clear through the course of time. Counseling is a one on one cognitive tool that involves communication and sharing as an active component.

Counseling is a process that is done in a clinical setting, on voice/ video call, or on email. Counseling involves an active cycle of communication between the counselor and a client. Anything that disturbs the balanced state of mind of an individual and with the balanced state the physical, emotional, mental, social, spiritual, and financial arenas of an individual play an important role. The problems are heard and noted, based on which the course of the therapy is decided. A human has five major senses on which the human responds to everything in and around, hence the type of therapy differs depending on the sense that in the most active in the individual. The client is given various tasks and exercises which help remove all the blocks.
