MEDITATION is an abstract reality. It has a different meaning for all, like some can listen to music, some can write, or read, some can chant or pray to reach a state of meditation. The point is how one feels. There are countless tools that can be used to meditate. After using the tool the state achieved is the state meditation or dhyanà. There are innumerable benefits of Meditation.

The following are 5 major benefits of Meditation:

 1. LEARN TO PROCESS THE EMOTIONS

         Meditation relaxes the heart and helps one understand the emotions. Emotions result from one’s pattern of thinking. It imparts understanding to an individual as to how to deal with the pool of emotions they are exposed to.

          Thoughts flow knowingly and unknowingly in our mind. But not all the thoughts are productive and healthy. Meditation calms down the mind and gives clarity of thoughts.

          Meditation helps one clear the mess in the mind and the heart. It helps in improving the focus and concentration powers. Meditation releases the curtains of limiting beliefs, hence, helps one become more creative and colorful.

          Meditation helps one “BE” leading to the feeling of contentment. It makes one aware of the Self. When the feeling of “being” sets in, Sleep comes easy and smooth.

 5. OWNING THE HAPPINESS WITHIN:

          Meditation is a Journey Within. Happiness is a Journey Within.

MINDFULNESS is the ability to live presently in the moment while being aware of your emotions, feelings, and bodily sensations, and accepting them without judgment. Practicing mindfulness daily encourages a mindful lifestyle. By living mindfully, you will learn to connect with yourself, which promotes happiness and self-confidence. With a positive mindset, you will feel the highest energies in every action and life experience. 

Mindfulness has an immense amount of benefits, some of which include:

           By living in the present moment as opposed to thinking about the past or future, you will become more self-aware about each life occurrence. Being present and aware helps you balance a healthy lifestyle by thinking and acting consciously, and having control of your mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. 

 2. HEALTHY EMOTIONS & SELF-ACCEPTANCE:        

          Having a positive mindset helps you learn how to utilize healthy behaviors and reinforces to acknowledge your negative thoughts and emotions without judgment and then maintaining that healthy state of mind. As a result, you will begin to accept yourself unapologetically.

 3. IMPROVED WORKING MEMORY (e.g., thicker hippocampus improves your memory and learning:

          Studies have shown that practicing mindfulness affects the hippocampus in our brain, which has a central role in learning and memory. This area of the brain is sensitive to neurological and psychiatric disorders. Practicing mindfulness can boost your hippocampus, which can improve your working memory and long-term memory. As a result, it can improve your problem-solving, reasoning, and comprehension.

 4. IMPROVED PERSONAL & ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS (e.g., improved communication styles):

          Having a positive mindset influences positive and effective communication, which can improve your personal and romantic relationships. Having higher-frequency energies will gravitate others to you and help you thrive in your relationships as you pour in positivity and the urge to grow with your loved ones.

 5. MANAGE SOUND MENTAL HEALTH (e.g., grey matter in the brain’s amygdala the area for stress can become smaller):

          Studies have shown that mindfulness reduces stress and tension. Having a positive mindset influences the grey matter in your brain’s amygdala, which has the role to regulate stress and anxiety and respond to arousing and stressful matters. Focusing on the present moment minimizes distractions and can improve your memory and learning.
